Arcadia High School juniors Shawn Xing and Jillian Weng were both honored in San Gabriel last Wednesday by Congresswoman Judy Chu with the Congressional Award Program’s Silver Medal. The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. Participants set goals in four program areas: Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Both Shawn and Jillian were honored for setting and achieving their own goals in these four areas.
