Cloud Hunter: Handmade in LA

Handmade in LA by the lovely ladies of Cloud Hunter. Designers Megan Pearl and Allison Marque wanted to create a sexy lingerie line that could also be worn as comfortable loungewear, and they’ve succeeded. Whether you’re stuck at the office, about to hit a night on the town, or just in bed watching Netflix with your boo… they’ve got you covered with class and elegance. Because who says sexy can’t both comfortable and chic?

Alison & I make everything ourselves with no independent tailor.  We make the patterns, we create the designs, and make each piece for each order.  Nothing is made in mass quantity, and everything is made in our studio in Chinatown by us. To add onto that… I wanted to create pieces that go from A.M to P.M. or vise versa. Easy cashmere and silk slips you can catch z’s in, wear to work with a sweater or wear out with a leather jacket. The kind of pieces that are ready for the girl on the go, and the girl stuck behind her computer working until 2 a.m in need of ease and comfort. A collection designed for girls to be comfortable and chic in whatever circumstance by using fine fabrics and trims.

Cloud Hunter’s second collection of lingerie and loungewear evokes the elegance of a ballerina and the romance of seventies melodies, infused with the comfort of a flower child’s free spirit.  Every piece is crafted by hand in house using the finest materials such as guipure lace, cashmere, velvet, satin, and stone washed silk.

For color palette and fabrics I was inspired by the lighter side of the 70’s… pastels, sunrise hues, laces and silks.  Silhouettes are a mix of easy pieces like shorts, crop tops, slips with others such as the bodysuit, wrap bra, and wrap skirt- which draw direct inspiration from ballerina wear.
