The 18th annual “Don’t fence me in…!” Musical Horse Show to benefit horseback riders with disabilities at ‘MACH 1’ (Move a Child Higher) will take place Saturday, June 13 at Flintridge Riding Club in La Canada-Flintridge.  MACH 1 is a 501(c) 3 non-profit PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center equine assisted riding program serving people with disabilities and based in Pasadena’s Hahamongna Watershed Park.

The horse show begins at 3 p.m. featuring the MACH 1 riders performing their musical classes to show off the riding skills that they practice each week.  Special demonstrations are also included in the show entertainment.  Ellen Narver of Flintridge Riding Club will perform musical freestyle dressage. Tournament of Roses Parade regulars Alex Lopez and the Fancy Trick Roping Equestrian Team Western Entertainment will also return to thrill the audience by performing their roping skills for the show. A brand new treat will also amaze the audience this year when Pat Wolff brings her wonderful jumping mule “Mishty”, who has twice won first place at both the Bishop Mule Days and at the Los Angeles County Fair.  “Mishty” is trained entirely with clicker training.

Both the silent auction and the horse show are free and open to the public.

A benefit barbeque dinner will be catered by Captain BBQ and served under the oaks on the riding club patio following the show.  Dinner tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children.

The Musical Horse Show is MACH 1’s major annual fundraiser….this year celebrating the opening of its new therapeutic riding center in the Hahamongna Watershed Park.

To donate and to learn more about the center on-line, please visit the MACH 1 website at www.moveachildhigher.org.
