The First Tee of Greater Pasadena is coordinating an exceptional opportunity to meet LPGA Touring Professional Danielle Kang. Danielle will be speaking at a luncheon benefiting The First Tee of Greater Pasadena’s Girls Golf program.

Born in San Francisco, raised in southern California, Danielle started playing golf at the age of 12, and qualified for the U. S. Women’s Open as a 14-year-old in 2007. She attended high school at Oak Park High School and later transferred to Westlake High School early, beginning college at Pepperdine University. As an amateur, Danielle won the U. S. Women’s Amateur twice, in 2010 and 2011. She repeated her win at the U. S. Women’s Amateur in August 2011 to become the first player in 15 years to win consecutive titles. Danielle played her first tournament as a professional at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in September 2011. In 2012, her rookie year, she played 19 events on the LPGA Tour, making 13 cuts and finishing the season as 52nd on the official LPGA money list. So far this year, Danielle has a top five finish at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, finishing just two shots behind the leader. In total, since her rookie year, Danielle has five career top ten finishes. She currently ranks 84th in the Rolex Rankings and 39th on the CME Rankings. Did we mention in October 2014, Danielle made two hole-in-ones within two weeks, winning two cars? This girl has game!

The luncheon is on June 17, starting at 11 a.m., at Brookside Golf Club Mediterranean Room, 1133 Rosemont Ave., Pasadena. After the luncheon, Danielle will provide a putting demonstration for those who wish to stay.

$25 for adults ($5 of which is a donation to the Girls Golf program), $20 for students. All attendees will receive complimentary “goodie” bags.

Reservation deadline is June 1. To make your reservations online, visit www.thefirstteepasadena.org. For further information, visit our website, or contact Betty Lou Beyer, Special Projects Director, bettylou.tftpasadena@hotmail.com.
