Dear Editor: Reader has advice for incoming and outgoing mayor(s) of Monrovia
I want to thank you, Mary Ann Lutz, for your years of dedicated service to the City of Monrovia. Because I didn’t like or agree with your core principals, I never voted for you. That does not mean that I cannot respect your tireless efforts. In my opinion the issues that got you unelected are still there and need to be addressed promptly. They are the development of a workable plan to properly maintain and modify the City’s infrastructure. Secondly, our building codes need to be modified in a fair and reasonable way to keep our valuable neighborhood character. Thirdly, access and use improvements need to be made so the citizens of Monrovia can use their wilderness preserve like the approved plan called for. Now that Tom Adams controls the helm, my advice to Tom is: to steer ahead. You have what you wanted, and we will judge you in two years.
