The North Stars: Canonizing the American Abolitionists: March 21

The YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley will host a special gallery showing of “The North Stars: Canonizing the American Abolitionists” featuring mixed media pieces by local artist Hope Demetriades. “The North Stars” highlights the bravery, sacrifice, diversity, unity and triumph of reformers who worked to end slavery. A reception will be held on Sunday, March 21st, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the YWCA Pasadena location. The event is free and open to the public, and will also include a meet and greet with the artist. The exhibit may also be seen prior to the art showing by appointment only, please call (626) 296-8433 to schedule a viewing.
