Sunday, Feb. 15th
-At 5:53 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a vegetation fire in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a small vegetation fire burning in the parking area green space. Fire crews immediately began fire attack and contained the fire to the area of origin. Firefighters overhauled the area and identified burning cigarettes as the most likely cause of the fire. The incident was released to mall security.
Monday, Feb. 16th
-At 3:01 p.m., Engine 105 responded to a vegetation fire in the 1800 block of Tulip Lane. Upon arrival, Engine 105 found a twenty five foot by ten foot brush fire, adjacent to the wash. Engine 105 extinguished the fire and overhauled the area for any remaining hot spots. Engine 105 investigated and was unable to determine the method of ignition.
Tuesday, Feb. 17th
-At 5:58 p.m., Air Utility 106 was requested by the Los Angeles County Fire Department for assistance at a structure fire in the City of Rosemead. Engine 106 provided personnel to staff the air utility and responded to the scene. Fire personnel provided scene lighting for Los Angeles County Fire personnel who were overhauling and investigating a fire in a large condominium complex.
Wednesday, Feb. 18th
-At 1:51 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 400 block of East Duarte Road. Fire crews arrived to find a 78-year-old male in full cardiac arrest. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene; including intravenous access, advanced airway, defibrillation, 12 lead electrocardiogram, administration of cardiac medications, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Thursday, Feb. 19th
-At 6:06 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 1000 block of Mayflower Avenue. Fire crews arrived on scene to find two patients who were experiencing neck pain and dizziness following a traffic collision earlier in the day. Paramedics assessed the patients and transported them to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further treatment and evaluation.
Friday, Feb. 20th
-At 10:13 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 1400 block of North Oaklawn Road. Fire crews arrived to find an 86-year-old male suffering from chest pain. Paramedics provided advanced life support measures on scene; including intravenous access, 12 lead electrocardiogram, administration of cardiac medications, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
Saturday, Feb. 21st
-At 11:32 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical assist in the 2500 block of South Fourth Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel evaluated a male patient who was suffering from an altered mental status. The patient received advanced life support at the scene; including oxygen therapy, 12 lead cardiac monitoring, intravenous access, and blood glucose monitoring. The patient was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.
