Tom Adams gets Two Thumbs Up from Monrovia Resident

Dear Editor

Those of us around Monrovia in the 1970’s should remember a city in the doldrums. Oh yes, the city had management, however it lacked leadership. Around the mid 70’s a slate of three ran for council seats. They were Bob Bartlett, Pat Ostyre, and Eric Faith. When they were elected, I am sure no one realized what was about to happen. Management was going to connect with leadership. Sleepy little Monrovia was about to become the city that could. Change happened one project at a time, and soon surrounding cities began to take notice. Sadly to say, in my opinion , I think Monrovia has slipped back into that old management pit. The things we all admire about Monrovia came through leadership, not management. I have known Tom Adams for over 30 years and have always been inspired by his leadership skills. I Have never known him not to put Monrovia and it’s citizens first in his decisions. I am proud to stand in his corner in his run for mayor.
