Pedestrian Killed in South El Monte

A man died late Saturday after he was struck by a car on Rosemead Boulevard, according to police reports. Sgt. Steven Ruiz of the sheriff’s Temple Station said the driver stopped and called 9-1-1 about 10:35 p.m. to report he had struck a man in the 2600 block of Rosemead Boulevard, near Fern Street.
Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. No one was arrested.
