Taiwan’s top brands will be exhibited for the second time in California, displaying innovative and high-quality products aimed at upgrading American consumers’ daily lives/ The exhibition is entitled Taiwan Excellence Pavilion and will be held at the Asian American Expo 2015 on January 17th – 18th 2015 at the Pomona Fairplex in California. Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is the largest presentation of its kind to promote and increase consumers’ knowledge of Taiwanese products in the US.
The Pavilion will showcase the latest “Taiwan Excellence” products featuring over 115 consumer products spanning from Information & Communication Technology (ICT), sports, leisure, the home, medical, to cultural products. Taiwan’s technical prowess will be on display with well-known names, including ACER and ASUS, both of which will be unveiling their newest laptops and tablets. ADATA will show its External Hard Drive HE720, an innovative external hard drive that is a USB 3.0 compatible device and the world’s thinnest of its kind. Also in present will be MSI, one of the world’s largest ICT manufacturers of consumer and commercial products such as notebooks, All-in-One PCs, servers, workstations, and industrial PCs. Sapido, a leading brand in the IoT industry, will display its Cloud Environment Sensor as well as its Cloud ZigBee Door & Window Magnetic Sensor, highlighting the company’s ability to connect the home or office. Sapido connects surveillance, detection and control functionalities into a network to satisfy customers’ needs in Cloud Security Surveillance, Cloud Automation, Digital Convergence and Home Care.
In addition to ICT products, Taiwan is also growing its art and beauty industries. Liuligongfang, Asia’s largest Liuli arts (Pâte-de-verre) brand, will present its crystal art, including the Seasonal Tastes, Fragrant Orchid, and Peaceful Intoxication. Each piece will demonstrate Taiwan’s rising status in the art industry. Hair O’right International Corporation, a company that has built the first green cosmetics plant in Asia, will be presenting its one-of-a-kind green hair care products, all of which were made with solar and wind energy. It’s Tree in the Bottle series, the first tree-growing shampoo in the world, has been internationally recognized with awards, such as the 2014 iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award – Best of the Best 2013. In addition, KHS smart bicycles and Tatung’s rice cooker and many great products will also be on display.
The Pavilion will hold two “Lucky Draw” events at 5 pm on each day of the Exhibition. The raffle tickets will be distributed to visitors upon receiving their admission tickets at the Pavilion on the day before 4:30pm. Due to limited supply, the raffle tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. The lucky winners will get a chance to bring the Taiwan Excellence products home!
This Taiwan Excellence Pavilion in California is the third Taiwan Excellence event within the past 6 months in the United States, and comes on the heels of highly successful showcases in Houston in September and New York in October. It not only reaffirms robust consumer preference for made-in-Taiwan products in the United States but also the long-standing, prosperous trade relationship between the two countries. For decades, the two economies have enjoyed strong trade relations and worked together for mutual economic growth and prosperity. A major foundation of those commercial ties has been laid on mutual respect and high standards for excellence in consumer products.
Up to 25 Taiwanese brands will jet across the Pacific Ocean to attend the event in California and show the true meaning of Taiwan Excellence in product innovation, high-quality and functionality. All products exhibited are recipients of the Taiwan Excellence Award, a prestigious accolade established by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economy Affairs (MOEA) in 1992. The selection for this distinguished award is based off of the four criteria of R&D, Quality, Design and Marketing.
