Culinary Masters Aim to Redefine Sport & Dining Experience at Great Race Place

Newly Renovated, Iconic Venue to Also Offer Live Entertainment in One-Of-A-Kind Setting

Santa Anita Park, which will open for its 78th Winter Meeting on Friday, Dec. 26, has announced that a highly acclaimed group of culinary and beverage professionals representing LA’s top rated restaurants will provide world class cuisine in the track’s newly renovated and luxurious Chandelier Room, beginning opening day and Day Two, Saturday, Dec. 27. Courtesy of Sprout LA, this dynamic group of talented chefs and bartenders, from top restaurants such as Republique and Bestia, will demonstrate their cutting-edge abilities throughout the New Year.
“We are excited to be able to host an amazing food, wine and cocktail experience at Santa Anita,” said Los Angeles-based master chef, Rory Herrmann. “The Chandelier Room is the perfect setting for this, with its history and now with its newly renovated luxurious, open and welcoming aura. We are truly honored to be in a position to serve people in this one-of-a-kind environment that has such great energy.”
“We are so honored to welcome this dynamic team and to be able to offer our patrons an incredible culinary and entertainment experience in our Chandelier Room,” said Santa Anita Chairman Keith Brackpool. “These uniquely talented people represent some of the finest restaurants in Los Angeles and we’re excited that they’re going to be able to share their passion and dedication with us for the first time.”
In addition to Rory Herrmann, master chefs Timothy Hollingsworth, Jason Neroni, David Nayfield, and Ivan Marquez will be creating innovative, signature dishes throughout the upcoming Winter Meet, Additionally, Julian Cox will craft specialty cocktails.
Available on the first and third weekends of each month, the series will also include live music and food tasting from master chefs throughout the day. Additional Sprout LA chefs will be participating into and throughout 2015. Tickets are $85 per person and can be purchased online at santaanita.com/ChefSeries.
