“Anthems and Carols” to fill the air at St. Luke’s Monrovia Christmas Eve service
Joyous music will highlight the Christmas Eve service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Monrovia as the choir performs a 7:30 p.m. program of Anthems and Carols preceding the service. Selections will include “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” by Ralph Vaughan Williams with baritone David Kress, who also performs with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The program will be followed at 8 p.m. by a Holy Eucharist featuring a lighthearted yuletide play about the keeper of the inn where Christ was born. The community is invited to join in the celebration at the church, 122 South California Avenue at Foothill Boulevard.
