On Sunday, November 30th, upstairs at Vitello’s will host the fifth Jazz del Corazon event “Giving Thanks: An Evening with Jackie Gibson & Friends” to benefit the Los Angeles Jazz Musician.

The event will be upstairs at Vitello’s at 7 pm and is a mini retrospective of the previous four shows. Previous recipients Jerry Monteros, Sophia Scozzesi and Myrna Daniels will speak, and many of the stand-out performers from earlier shows will return—Ira Hill, Dolores Scozzesi, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Lauren White, Mitch Ellis, Pierre Chamber, Cornelio Guerra, Steve Rawlins, Ron Snyder, Tom Bowe and Jackie Gibson.
The Jazz del Corazon veterans will be joined by a few new illustrious talents making their first appearances as part of the “Giving Thanks” effort- Maryjo Mundy, Stuart Elster, and Alexandra Theodora Spurlock.

As an added attempt at widening the reach of Jazz del Corazon- there will be an open mic at upstairs at Vitello’s immediately following “Giving Thanks: an evening with Jackie Gibson & Friends” (approximately 8:45pm). The open mic will be hosted by celebrated cabaret performer, and longtime open mic hostess, Maryjo Mundy and Jazz del Corazon co-creator Clifford Bell (www.cabarabia.com).
