PASADENA

November 27– Time: 8:00 p.m. Stop Kiss at the Pasadena Playhouse (39 South El Molino Ave.) at 8:00 p.m. STOP KISS marks The Playhouse directorial debut of Seema Sueko, who joined The Playhouse staff in January 2014. Originally produced Off-Broadway at The Public Theater, with a cast including Sandra Oh and Jessica Hecht, this critically acclaimed play received the GLAAD Media Award for Best New York Production. STOP KISS tells the story of Sara and Callie, who are walking through New York City’s West Village late at night when they share their first kiss. This leads to a vicious attack by an angry bystander, in which Sara is horribly injured. Throughout STOP KISS, relationships are explored, formed, and even ended. Diana Son elaborates on the depths of human emotion and compassion. Cost: $35.00 – $125.00
November 28 — The sean Lee Trio at redwhite=bluezz (37 S. El Molino Ave.) at 7:00 p.m. Formed in 2012 while attending La Salle High School in Pasadena, the band members consist of Joey Messina-Doerning (drums), Sean Lee (guitar) and Justin Berger-Davis (bass). They enjoy exploring jazz’s rich musical heritage through a mix of standards from the American Songbook . Free for patrons.

November 29 — Maz Jobrani Special Event at The Ice House Comedy Club (24 N. Mentor Ave.) at 8:00 p.m. Groundbreaking, culture-barrier-busting comedy from the hysterical Maz Jobrani. Featuring Kareem Matthews (Comics Unleashed, CTV) Featuring Adam Richmond (Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing). Jobrani is a founding member of The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour. November 30 — AIDS Service Centers First Annual Turkey Bowl Time at All Star Lanes (4459 Eagle Rock Blvd.) from: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to the first annual AIDS Service Center “Turkey Bowl.” Work off that Thanksgiving meal the Sunday after the big day by joining the fun for an afternoon of bowling, to benefit AIDS Service Center. December 3 — Teen Book Club at the Sierra Madre Library (440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.) at 4:00 pm. Middle school and high school students are invited to join the Teen Book Club, Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 5 p.m. during the school year.
