Bible Talks on Exodus by Seven Churches in West San Gabriel Valley

Seven local churches in seven cities of the West San Gabriel Valley—Alhambra, Arcadia, East Los Angeles, El Monte, Monterey Park, Pasadena, and San Gabriel—will host a series of free Bible talks on the Biblical book of Exodus from Dec. 5th to the 7th, 2014, in 630 E. Live Oak Ave, Arcadia.
This will be the third time that these seven churches have cooperated together for this annual event—the first event covered the book of Revelation in 2012, and the second event covered the book of Genesis in 2013. In the previous two years, hundreds have attended these Bible talks and many have expressed their appreciation. “We believe many people are looking for answers, be it for global, social, or personal issues,” said David Wang, a volunteer from the Church in Arcadia, who helped organize these Bible talks. He continued, “And we believe the answers are all there in the Word of God. By offering these Bible talks to our communities, we believe many will come to appreciate the riches in the Bible and even have a life-changing encounter with the Lord Jesus as many of us did.” Leo Lin, another volunteer from the church in Pasadena said, “Our goal is simply to spread the knowledge of the Bible and share the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ.”
The flyer for this year’s series of talks reads: “Many people have read Exodus, but few have seen its true significance. What is the significance of Israel’s being enslaved in Egypt, taking the Passover, leaving Egypt, and crossing the Red Sea? Why did God give the law to Israel and charge them to build a tabernacle? Most importantly, how do all these stories relate to our life today?”
All the Bible talks will be given in both English and Chinese. For more information, please contact Jacob Feng, (732) 991-7375 or check out www.churchinarcadia.com.
