November 14 — Jumping Jack Flash at Covina Center for the Performing Arts (104 N. Citrus Avenue, Covina) at 8 pm. Jumping Jack Flash honors the privilege of re-creating a Rolling Stones live performance by delivering what audiences come to see the spectacle and power of the World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band in its prime. The greatest care has been given to the smallest details to ensure the song performances, wardrobe and instrumentation are spot-on-recreations of the real thing.

November 15 — Let’s Bug Out at Arcadia Public Library (20 W. Duarte Road) Arcadia at 2:30 pm.In this immensely entertaining and educational program, kids will learn the differences between insects and other “bugs” by playing some fun interactive games. Next students will learn how bees communicate with each other. The presentation will conclude with kids becoming the creatures themselves in a group of hilarious interactive theatrical “skits” about insects and their life-cycles. This is fun for the whole family! Free.

EL MONTE
November 18 — Free flu shots at the Jack Crippen Senior Center (3120 N. Tyler Avenue) from 9 – 11:30 am. The LA County Department of Public Health is offering flu vaccines at no charge to people who don’t have health insurance or whose healthcare provider doesn’t offer flu vaccines. Flu vaccines are recommended for everyone six months of age and older, including healthy adults .Information: (626) 301-1932.

November 14 — Time: 8:00 p.m. Stop Kiss at the Pasadena Playhouse (39 South El Molino Ave.) at 8:00 p.m. STOP KISS marks The Playhouse directorial debut of Seema Sueko, who joined The Playhouse staff in January 2014. Originally produced Off-Broadway at The Public Theater, with a cast including Sandra Oh and Jessica Hecht, this critically acclaimed play received the GLAAD Media Award for Best New York Production. STOP KISS tells the story of Sara and Callie, who are walking through New York City’s West Village late at night when they share their first kiss. This leads to a vicious attack by an angry bystander, in which Sara is horribly injured. Throughout STOP KISS, relationships are explored, formed, and even ended. November 15 — Pasadena Farmers Market at Victory Park (2575 Paloma St.) from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You’ll love the experience of buying directly from the farmer that grows the food. What you’ll love even more is the fresh, delicious taste of locally grown, nutritious fruits, vegetables and farm products. We also have other vendors offering jams, jellies, fish, and more, but we do not permit craft vendors. Free entrance.

November 16 — Lineage Dance Company presents Ceiling in the Floor! at Lineage Performing Arts Center (89 S. Fair Oaks Ave.) at 7 pm Years ago, two students at Pasadena’s Polytechnic School met and became best friends through their love of music and art. A decade later, mental health issues have pulled their friendship apart. Part dance, part monologue, part live music, Ceiling In The Floor is the deeply personal true story of two local Pasadena artists who went from inseparable to non-speaking as the result of a quiet struggle with depression and suicide. Tickets $18.

SIERRA MADRE
November 14 — The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde at A Noise Within (3352 E. Foothill Blvd.) at 8 pm. This comedy of manners is quite possibly the funniest two hours you’ll ever see on stage. The City of Temple City has designated November 15th 2014, as Neighborhood Clean-Up Day in the Muscatel-Hermosa area.
