Doug Keister presents an informative and entertaining lecture illustrated with photographs of cemeteries and funerary art from around the world. A limited number of guests can accompany Keister on a candlelit tour of Mountain View Cemetery to see funerary architecture, secret societies, cemetery symbolism, a hollow tombstone and the resting place of George Reeves, the original Superman.
Doug Keister gives annual tours at his hometown cemetery in Chico, California and has been honored as a co-tour director at the famous Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in New York. He’s authored six books on cemeteries and has spoken at dozens of venues on the subject including the Smithsonian Institute and the Cooper Union in New York.
