Women-owned Vintage Treasures & Antiques store in Arcadia and The City of Hope proudly invite you to “Vintage Fashion For A Cause”

Vintage Treasures & Antiques in Arcadia started noticing a trend-quite a few women were coming in looking for cute hats. Co-owner Raquel McLaughlin, when she spoke to them, realized they all had one thing in common: they either knew someone with cancer, or were undergoing chemotherapy themselves in treatment-usually, breast cancer.
Strongly wanting to honor women fighting breast cancer and past survivors of breast cancer, Raquel and Vintage Treasures worked tirelessly to secure official backing from the very exclusive City of Hope to throw on a charity fashion show.
“100 percent of the proceeds-all of it-is going to the City of Hope, Duarte, to benefit breast cancer research,” said Raquel. Raquel hasn’t stopped for one moment-she has been promoting, inviting, and organizing since she first saw the need in the local community to step up and help. An all-volunteer group of local residents of Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia will be modeling vintage fashion for this cause. Additionally, there will be live music. The event will take place at 5pm on Saturday, October 18 at Vintage Treasures & Antiques in Arcadia.
Vintage Treasures is located right next to Zelo’s Pizza at 340 East Foothill Boulevard and they will be holding the “Vintage Fashion For A Cause” in the rear lot.
Tickets are only $30 per person at the door, and include dinner, live music, desserts, beverages, door prizes and inspiration. Tickets may be purchased for pre-sale for $25. Please email vintagetreasures340@outlook.com to purchase them.
“We have been honored with the support of many Local Women—residents who care about women with breast cancer!” Raquel told us. “Loyal customers who love to come by our Vintage Store, who want to make a difference in their local community!”
Many customers have expressed their excitement and are buying their tickets for the dinner and fashion show evening event. For more information, email vintagetreasures340@outlook.com or contact Raquel at (310) 435-1030.
Come join in–it will keep you inspired, and most of all will help the City of Hope Breast Cancer Unit!
