This is Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena POPS final concert of the summer! September 4 — 6th Annual Arcadia Juried Photography Exhibit at Gib Museum of Arcadia Heritage (380 West Huntington Drive) from 10:00 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 4:00 Tuesdays – Saturdays. Theme: “Abstract: What is That?” Free.

September 6 — The annual Arcadia Republicans B.B.Q. at the home of Honorable Peter and Jackie Amundson, 275 West Longden Avenue, Arcadia. The menu includes baby back ribs, and baked beans by our Master Chef Steve Johnson, plus salads, assorted dishes, soft drinks, beer & wine. September 7 — The Tempest by William Shakespeare at A Noise Within at 2:00 p.m. The Bard’s last work is a power play of passion and wills – as resonant now as it ever was, and even more relevant. Parent/child relationships take center stage as Deborah Strang embodies Prospero in a performance of rare courage. Set on an exotic isle and featuring Gatsby-esque costumes that spotlight the difference between privileged outsiders and the natural world, this fiery Tempest shows just how seductive revolution can be. September 4 — Los Angeles County Fair (1101 West McKinley Ave., Fairplex). The Los Angeles County Fair celebrates its 92nd anniversary with food, attractions and entertainment for all ages. New this year is Luminasia, featuring giant Chinese lanterns fashioned in iconic landmarks (open 6 p.m. to closing; nominal fee); Hall of Heroes, which takes a look at the science behind superheroes; Grinding Gears, a Steampunk-themed nightclub; and The Farm, filled with animals and agri-tainment.
