First Baptist Church of Temple City recently held its 2nd Annual Sports Camp. The sports camp offered the community Girls Cheer with Boys & Girls Basketball.
It was a five day camp that featured a mixture of alumni and current Temple City High School Cheerleaders for the cheer camp and Pastor Jim Walden along with eight young men leading the basketball side. The lead cheer director has been Anissa Stoker who has a team of five other young ladies who do an outstanding job of teaching young girls, ages 5 to 12 basic fundamental stretching and jumping routines.
The basketball camp instructs both boys and girls of the same age range basic dribbling, shooting and passing skills. The camp was offered during the evening and costs $50 per child and no more than $100 per family.
