TAIWAN – USA SYNERGY Slated August 5 in Los Angeles

Taiwan is America’s 12th largest trading partner and as such the importance of the relationship between the two countries continues to grow exponentially. The impact Taiwan has on California is significant and hence the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles has devoted a special event August 5 entitled Taiwan – USA Synergy to discuss further collaboration between the two countries.

Ambassador Bruce J.D. Linghu, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles and The Board of Governors of City Club Los Angeles invite all interested persons to attend this Taiwan USA Synergy event to take place on August 5, 2014. Ambassador Linghu will be the Keynote Speaker.

This will be one of Ambassador Linghu’s last public appearances before he departs for Canada as the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ambassadorial Representative to Canada. Ambassador Linghu will give an overview on Taiwan, and the important economic relations between Taiwan, mainland China, and USA since Taiwan is America’s 12th largest trading partner, California’s 7th largest trading partner and the 4th largest trading partner to Los Angeles County. There will also be a Round Table Panel discussion regarding bilateral trade and business opportunities between Taiwan and Los Angeles.
