Arcadia Coldwell Banker Competes In second Annual Summer Food Drive

NorthStar MovingĀ® Company, the leading eco-luxury mover in California, has teamed up with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage with the support of Move for Hunger, for their second annual āLetās Send Hunger Packingā summer food drive to feed hungry children in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The donations will help feed the over one million children in Southern California that lack access to food.
Arcadia Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is competing against other cities and towns to collect the most food donations for their local food bank. The Arcadia donations will benefit Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. NorthStar Moving will award the winning offices, one in each county, with their choice of either: lunch for the entire staff or a $1000.00 donation to the food bank in their name.
āIt is devastating to think that even one child goes to bed hungry at night and it is unimaginable to think that almost 700,000 children in Los Angeles County and 1 out of 5 children in Orange County are at risk of being hunger every day,ā said NorthStar Moving Co-Founder Laura McHolm. āThose statistics are even more heart breaking in the summer when many children loose access to their school sponsored one meal a day. Last year we raised 4,556 pounds of food and this year we are looking to surpass that. So, please join us in making sure every child has enough to eat every day!ā
The battle to raise the most food donations has begun and runs through August 15. Donations of non-perishable food items are now being accepted at the Arcadia Coldwell Banker office.
