Tickets Available to Gabriel Film Festival This Saturday
Tickets are available for Arcangel Gabriel Film Festival scheduled for Saturday, July 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mission Playhouse in San Gabriel.
Films shown will feature topics in evangelization, compassion ministries, social justice and inspirational stories with a Christian theme. The film festival is presented by San Gabriel Mission, HOPE Christian Fellowship and Salvation Army Vision Network.
The festival is a new event created to promote Christian unity and cooperation in media and mission, says a festival spokesperson. They added, “by connecting filmmakers and artists with their audience, the event will celebrate and support the progress of faith-based films and media.”
The visionaries of the film festival said they believe that the Christian voice will be heard more by Hollywood when believers from separated communities are committed to working side by side in solidarity. Films to be shown will range from the true inspiring story of 16-year-old competitive sailor Abby Sunderland and her attempted solo circumnavigation in Wild Eyes – the Abby Sunderland Story, to the celebrated human rights documentary 40 to the theatrical hit feature God’s Not Dead, announced the spokesperson.
Recently off its box office run, God’s Not Dead will screen along with live speaking appearances by its writers, producer and cast.
