We’re off to see the the Wizard
The principal from the new production of The Wizard of Oz, Musique Cooks (Scarecrow), Francesca Sola (Dorothy), Taylor Wesselman (TIn Man) and Mitch RIley (Cowardly Lion) prepare for their performance this weekend. You may think you know the Wizard of Oz, but the production at the Taylor Performing Arts Center in Monrovia will have some surprises including one musical number cut from the movie. Need a hint? Remember the movie came out in 1939 when WWII was sweeping across Europe, big bands dominated the radio airwaves and Gone with the Wind premiered in Altanta. Don’t let it bug you. Come see one the eight performances starting this weekend and concluding next weekend. Fridays July 11 and 18 at 8 PM and on Saturdays July 12 and 19 and Sundays July 13 and 20 at both 2 and 8 PM. Tickets for all performances are $25 for general adult admission, $15 for students and children age 12 and younger. Discounts are available for groups and seniors. VIP Tickets for the Center Section, Rows 2 through 6 are available for $35. Rush tickets for $10 will be available for the front row on a first come first served basic before each performance.
