The 2nd annual Hot Dog Eating Contest & Craft Beer Fest returns to the Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena.
To celebrate National Hot Dog Month, Dog Haus is challenging locals and hot dog aficionados alike to the 2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest. The 10 contestants who succeed in the qualifying rounds* prior to July 5th will face off in an eight-minute, all-you-can-eat contest ultimately determining who will be the 2014 Haus Champion. The winner will receive a 1st place trophy, $300 cash prize, and loads of Dog Haus and Brewery swag. Prior to the competition, guests can enjoy live music from Past Action Heroes, sample brews from local craft breweries, watch the FIFA World Cup Quarterfinal matches on the seven large flatscreens, or partake in games like Giant Jenga and a beer stein holding contest.
*Qualifying Rounds: June 26th from 7pm-10pm at the Dog Haus Biergarten. Anyone interested in entering the hot dog eating contest must participate in a qualifying round prior to the July 5th competition. To qualify, contestants must completely finish four dogs in the fastest time possible. All fastest times will advance to the final round on July 5th.
