The public is invited and encouraged to join Mayor Bill Bogaard, Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez and Fire Chief Calvin E. Wells, along with other community leaders and members of the Pasadena Police and Fire departments, for the City’s third annual Police and Fire Memorial Service beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 on the front steps of City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave.
The poignant service is designed to pay tribute to the brave men and women for the police and fire services who have died in the line of duty while protecting and serving people who live, work and visit the City of Pasadena. The memorial service also pays tribute to all first responders. To date, six Pasadena Police Officers and nine Firefighters have lost their lives serving our community.
The program currently is scheduled to include brief remarks by Mayor Bogaard, Chief Sanchez and Chief Wells; Presentation of Colors; the National Anthem and a traditional 21-Gun Salute, Ringing of the Fire Bell and Taps.
