The City of Monrovia and the Monrovia Historic Preservation Group will host a workshop on landmarking your home May 15. Ili Lobaco from the Department of Community Development will be present to help clarify the application process and benefits. Ili had been overseeing Mills Act contract requirements since 2000.
The event is free and open to the public. Anyone considering applying for a landmark designation and/or a Mills Act contract is encouraged to attend. Attendees will be given a packet of information with application forms, a list of resources, and other important information. Thursday evening, May 15, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., in the Monroe Room of the Monrovia Community Center (119 W. Palm Ave).
