Crime victims honored at Justice for Homicide 30th Victims’ Memorial – April 6
Relatives of crime victims will honor their loved ones during the 30th annual Rose Hills Memorial Ceremony, sponsored by Justice for Homicide Victims. Crime survivors will light candles, release doves and symbolically send messages to their loved ones by writing on balloons that they will release.
The year Justice for Homicide Victims is honoring its founders. Actor, producer, director Griffin Dunne, will recall his sister Dominique’s murder and his mother’s founding of Justice for Homicide Victims along with then Malibu resident Marcella Nicholas Leach, mother of Marsy Nicholas. California voters passed the Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights Act in 2008 named for Marsy that gives victims of crime 17 constitutional rights. San Bernardino District Attorney Mike Ramos will also speak regarding the future of Victim Rights. Jack Reilley and LeeBertha Pickett-Allen will remember the early days of Justice for Homicide Victims.
