Rubber Revolver to play Lucky Baldwin’s March 30
Oh Darling…All you Need is Love ( and a pint) at the popular East Pasadena pub March 30
By Terry Miller
There are tribute bands galore honoring the one and only fab four. But lately in this, the 50th anniversary of The Beatles arriving in the States and changing music forever, more and more bands keep adding their own interpretations of the amazing catalog of songs John and Paul wrote.
Rubber Revolver is one of the newer tribute bands with a bit of an edge over many others, It was started in March 2010 to not only pay homage to the lads from Liverpool…… ‘the most significant band of all time,’ but also do something a wee bit different. Rubber Revolver, you see, focuses on appealing to younger Beatles fans as well as devotees who want to hear songs from all eras of their career – played live, including B-sides and rarities. The band aims to meticulously recreate accurate vocal harmonies and instrumental performances of the recorded versions of all Beatles’ songs. This is a chance to see five young lads put out something extraordinary as the fab four did in the 1964. Perhaps they’ll start a new movement like ‘Baldwinmania”
The band is: Aaron Powell – Vocals, Bass, Brady Burch – Vocals, Guitar
Derek Kuntz – Lead Guitar, Vocals, Logan Shrewsbury – Drums and
Kenny Wood – Keys, Percussion, VocalsThe Band begins at ten to six….a splendid time is guaranteed for all! Actually, they’ll start at 8 and play through 10PM according to Lucky Baldwin’s Trapisste lovely Manager Megan Giles and the ever-entertaining barkeep, Sir Edwin. We hope you all enjoy the show and know the lads will pass the audition. Don’t miss this one… it’ll be brilliant!
