Barricaded Suspect in Monrovia arrested after refusing to comply with officer’s commands

A burglary suspect running from police ended up barricaded in a house in the 400 block of Sunset in Monrovia Monday afternoon. Heavily armed officers first tried to get the suspects attention via a bean bag shooting but the suspect still refused to comply with Monrovia officers and detectives’ repeated requests.

Pasadena PD air units confirmed the suspects whereabouts and alerted officers on the ground.
He was finally arrested without further incident and paramedics from Monrovia fire responded with first aid and the suspect was handcuffed to the gurney and transported to Arcadia Methodist for observation. No other details were immediately avaialable.
