The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden will present a special piano recital by Pasadena resident, Inessa Niks. Open Day is from 10 am to 4 pm. Ms. Niks will perform from 1:30 to 2:30, playing works by Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert and Chopin.

Among her many awards, Inessa Niks was included in the book, “2000 Outstanding Musicians of the 20th Century” (2000-2001 Edition, IBC, Cambridge, England) for her contribution to the field of “Art and Science of Piano Playing.” Since 2010, she has released three CD’s of her own piano compositions in light Classical Style, influenced by the American composer, Leroy Anderson.

Garden admission includes access to the recital: $7.50 with reservations, $10 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. The garden is wheelchair accessible.
