CASA/LA Charity Preview Night this Thursday, Nov 21
The internationally recognized Los
Angeles Auto Show has partnered with CASA (Court Appointed Special
Advocates) of Los Angeles for its annual Charity Preview Night. This year
proceeds from the event, which welcomes VIP guests for the world premiere of
concepts from foremost automakers, will go to CASA to assist in their work
with Los Angeles County foster youth. The evening will include fine fare,
spirits and entertainment to celebrate the opening of LA’s ultimate
automotive event.
“We are overjoyed to be partnering with CASA for this year’s charity
preview night,” said Terri Toennies, General Manager of The L.A. Auto Show.
“CASA is an organization that brings hope, guidance and a chance at a better
future to thousands of children in Los Angeles every year.”
“CASA cannot thank the L.A. Auto Show enough for sharing this incredible
opportunity and evening with us,” said CASA/LA Executive Director Dilys
Garcia. “This event will help us advocate for more children and enhance
awareness in the community for our program which is so vital.”
CASA/LA is a nonprofit organization which advocates on behalf of abused and
neglected children in the overburdened foster care system of Los Angeles
County. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained, dedicated,
and caring community volunteer who is assigned to assist a foster child.
CASAs investigate the child’s circumstances and make recommendations to the
Court, work to secure needed services, and serve as a mentor and guide for
the child.
