Lorie Felippa, transitional kindergarten teacher at Highland Oaks Elementary School, has been named one of Los Angeles County’s Teachers of the Year! Lorie, who was eligible to be honored after being selected as Arcadia Unified’s Teacher of the Year, was one of just 71 teachers in the county to receive this recognition. There are roughly 80,000 teachers in L.A. County. Out of the 71 teachers of the year in L.A. County, Lorie was also one of just 16 that has been nominated for California Teacher of the Year!
