PASADENA SHOWCASE HOUSE FOR THE ARTS IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR GIFTS AND GRANTS

Next year, The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts will celebrate 50 years of its Annual Benefit, the Pasadena Showcase House of Design, and the 65th Anniversary of Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (formerly the Pasadena Junior Philharmonic Committee). “We’re an all-volunteer organization with a proud history of donating our time and cumulative donations of $19 million since 1948 to support and maintain quality music programs and experiences for all age groups”, commented Donna Gotch, PSHA President and Pasadena resident.
Proceeds from the 2013 Pasadena Showcase House of Design will be awarded through the organization’s Gifts and Grants program. $520,000 was awarded from the 2012 proceeds. Cheri Graham, Gifts and Grants Chair, explained, “We understand the importance of music and the impact it makes upon the individual as well as our communities.” Members of the Gifts and Grants Committee visit a variety of programs and schools and meet with administrators, teachers and students. “Considerable thought is given to each application”, stated Graham.
Non-profit organizations and schools may apply for funds to support music education programs, student scholarships, music theory and the underwriting of classical music concerts.
The application deadline is October 11, 2013. Complete instructions, guidelines and applications are available on their website at www.pasadenashowcase.org
