It’s not often you get to release a capsule collection with your former teacher. Los Angeles-based George Esquivel and former mentor Tommy Hilfiger collaborate on a shoe collection hitting Hilfilger stores this September 1st. Having first met when Esquivel was nominated for the 2009 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, the two first featured their new loafers in Hilfiger’s Fall 2013 show.
This limited-edition collection features of brogue and loafers hand-crafted in California in Esquivel’s LA studio, with locally sourced leathers and materials.
These antique-washed shoes will feature perforated detailing, bright outsoles, and hand-appliqued logos. Each pair of shoes will retail for $399 and come with dust bags with red, white, blue, and brown laces in a numbered box.
