Help local 11 year old take a bite out the Los Angeles Times battle of the burgers competition – vote for “The Gabster”
Following a recent story published by Beacon Media about 11 year old Gabriella Pontrelli’s school assignment that earned her a Dog Haus cheeseburger named after her, comes news that “The Gabster” is a contender in the 2013 Los Angeles Times Battle of the Burgers competition. Voting takes place now through June 10 at https://www.facebook.com/latimesfood/app_367716780015829.
A fifth grade student at Holy Family School in South Pasadena, Gabriella wrote to the popular eatery recognizing Dog Haus as one of her favorite restaurants for burgers, hot dogs, French Fries and Tater Tots, but stating that “Although I love Dog Haus, I feel the menu is not complete. I think there should be one more cheeseburger…named after me!”
Enter The Gabster,.a ¼ pound Angus beef hamburger topped with cheddar cheese, avocado, bacon, ranch dressing, fried onions and served on grilled Hawaiian Rolls!
The Gabster was first introduced to the public on in March of this year when it was featured on the menu for one week at all three Dog Haus locations in Pasadena, Old Pasadena and Alhambra.
“The Gabster was extremely popular. People were still ordering after it’s week run on the menu,” said Dog Haus partner Hagop Giragossian to whom the letter was addressed. “Dog Haus is proud of Gabriella and her signature burger and we would love for The Gabster to win the Battle of the Burgers completion. Please vote for it!”
