

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Operation Safe Streets Bureau are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and attempted murder of a young man, and asking the public for any information about the suspects.
The gang-related incident occurred Wednesday, April 10, 2013, minutes before 8:00 PM, at a fast food restaurant located in the 14600 Block of Gale Avenue, Hacienda Heights.
The victim, a 19-year-old male, and his friends drove to the restaurant together. As the young man’s friends went into the restaurant, the victim remained in the parking lot, near their car.
While the victim awaited his friends’ return, a man approached him and questioned his gang affiliation. The victim denied any gang affiliation, which enraged the suspect, who ran toward the victim and stabbed him in the upper body.
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a female, escaping eastbound on Gale Avenue and out of view. The vehicle is described as a 2000-2005 Kia Sorrento, silver or gray in color.
The male suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, approximately 5’10”/190 pounds, with a tattoo on the right side of his neck. .At the time of the incident, he wore a gray shirt, baggy blue jean pants and a baseball cap.
The female driver is described as a female Hispanic, in her 20’s, approximately 5’6”/180 pounds. At the time of the incident, she wore light blue “scrubs” type apparel.
The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
