RECAP: Cheech & Chong at The LA Film School

Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are back at it, just in time for 4/20.

If you don’t know much about this Grammy award-winning duo (though we don’t know many who don’t), these weed-loving comedians made a huge impact in the hippy counter-culture. Although they’ve been apart for a while, the two re-joined forces and took us on another one of their adventures with “Cheech and Chong’s Animated Movie.”

The LA CANVAS crew was lucky enough to attend a special screening of the movie at The Los Angeles Film School. But before watching the duo blaze one up and get into trouble in cartoon-form, the session first opened as a Q&A with the funny guys themselves. Talking about everything from how they met – to their start as musicians and transitions into film – to how much weed they get offered for just being Cheech & Chong, the pair treated the audience to a Q&A that felt more like a hilarious stand-up show.

The movie is now playing in select theaters across the country, and is coming out on Blu-ray on April 23rd. Visit http://cheechandchonganimated.com for all theater locations, and follow The LA Film School on Facebook for more upcoming Q&A’s.

Happy 4/20!
