Spokeo Offers Free Computer Coding Workshop for Pasadena Kids April 27
Leading online people search company, Spokeo, is hosting a free “CoderDojo” workshop for local area youth to learn the basics of computer coding in a friendly and fun way. Spokeo’s expert software developers will offer free pizza and snacks while teaching the session.
Pasadena-area youth ages 8 and above are invited to register. Kids ages 8-13 are required to have a parent present.
The recent “Educate to Innovate” call from the White House has prompted the nation to improve the participation and performance of America’s students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Spokeo is offering a free and fun educational workshop to inspire the youth of the Pasadena area to pursue careers in technology.
• Availability is limited and based on first-come, first-served registration.
• Students must pre-register and bring a laptop to the workshop.
Saturday, April 27, 2013, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Students/parents should visit spokeocodingforkids.eventbrite.com to register for the workshop before April 25.
