D.I.Y.: LIPBALM

You ever put on a jacket and find a tube of lipstick from the last time you wore it, but keep leaving it in there because it’s almost gone or broken or melted? Well if you’re having problems letting go of that half tube of your favorite coral (or just have some colors that were too intense), here’s a way to convert it into a balm and use it to the last smear.

materials

MATERIALS:
-lipstick(s)
-petroleum jelly
-new container(s)
-chopstick/little spoon/something to mix with
OPTIONAL:
-essential oils (for scented balm!)
-vitamin E (to moisturize!)
-cosmetic grade glitter (to get crazy!)

STEPS:

step1

1. Using clean containers (mine used to have soap in them, so I rinsed and dried before I started), break off/scoop and drop your lipstick and enough petroleum jelly to fill the rest of the container.

step2

2. Using a chopstick/stirring utensil of choice, blend the lipstick and jelly until the color and texture is consistent. Add any fun extras you want at this point too. Try mixing colors if you’re feeling adventurous.

TIP: This can get messy real quick. Keep some paper towels close by to keep the mess under control.

3. That’s it! Enjoy.
