On February 16, 2013, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the Pasadena Police Department responded to the report of a possible trespasser in the 800 block of North Oakland Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they located what appeared to be a makeshift altar, adorned with burned artifacts, animal bones, incense and candles. Human bones and a human skull were also found in the remnants.
Pasadena Police Investigators, along with the Los Angeles County Coroner Office, responded to the residence and collected these items for further analysis. This incident is being investigated as suspicious circumstances and is on-going.
