Maranatha High School will host its Annual Gala at the Pasadena Convention Center on March 16, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s gala, titled “Celebrating our Teachers,” will feature an inspirational evening of conversation with Former First Lady Laura Bush and a musical performance by Grammy Award winner and Christian contemporary artist, Michael W. Smith.
“We are honored to have both Laura Bush and Michael W. Smith join us as we celebrate our teachers,” commented Lisa Hausler, Chair of this year’s gala. “Laura Bush, a former teacher herself, will be addressing the topics of education and faith. This is a noteworthy occasion for our school and we are delighted to recognize our teachers, who are the backbone of the Maranatha community, at this extraordinary evening.”
Proceeds from the event will be used to support the school’s valued teachers, including program and ministry enhancements, training for technological innovations in the classroom, teacher enrichment programs, boosting the recruitment and retention of quality teachers, a designated performing arts space, improvements to the athletic program, and more. For more information about the event, visit www.maranatha-hs.org/laurabush.
