Last Thursday night we had our biggest celebration yet at the brand new, not-yet-open club “No Vacancy.”

This Victorian-style mansion from the people behind Harvard & Stone hosted our Art Issue release party, where we boogied on down to DJs KITTENS, Hapa and Urban Nomad like it was a college house party, minus the conspicuous red SOLO cups and testosterone-filled frat brothers. Instead, Thursday night was an evening celebrating the art nerds, creatives, and movers-and-shakers of our dear city Los Angeles.

As guests entered the lobby, they were greeted by our cover artist, Allison “Hueman” Torneros doing live art, and the lucky few to arrive early received  swag bags filled with goodies from our friends at New Era CapsRhythm LivinPublish BrandLACoffeeClub and more. We also had other giveaways from Royal Elastics, New Era CapsLA Bumble Bee, Allison “Hueman” Torneros and Filtrate Eyewear.

Speaking of the eyewear brand, Filtrate Eyewear gave out slick shades and brought their pals at Proper Barbershop to take over one of the mansion’s rooms to give out the best cuts & trims you’ve ever gotten while under the influence. Upstairs we had downtown LA-based See You Monday with a gifting suite and a photo booth for those of us having a hard time taking flattering selfies in the dimly lit hallways of the intimate venue.

Last but not least, the crew from Scratch DJ Academy Los Angeles helped party-goers discover their inner artist by holding a spin-art session for guests to make their own custom paint-decorated records.
