Dunamis Youth Launch Their Second Annual “Live to Give” Christmas Event

“Live to Give” was launched in Pasadena California in 2011 to ease the struggle during the holiday season.
Over the past 6 years Dunamis Pasadena Church’s youth desired to launch a holiday hot meal program. It was only last year that doors were opened to make this possible. Under the direction of Henry and Marissa Mendez, youth directors of the organization, the program now launches its 2nd Annual community event.
This program is meant to serve the community of Pasadena and its surrounding cities, a hot Christmas meal. The hot meal will be served after the Christmas event, which the organization’s youth are hosting. Doors will open at 4:30 PM and the event will start at 5:00 PM on December 23, 2012.
All families and individuals in need are welcome, the event will be held at St. James United Methodist Church’s auditorium at the following address: 2033 E. Washington Blvd. Pasadena CA, 91104.Over 250 gifts will be distributed to families in need for children between the ages of 0 -16 years. This will truly make each family’sholiday a little more joyful.
In 2008 Dunamis launched “Neighborhoods living in Peace” an event that focuses on uniting various cultures in effort to break barriers of racism and prejudice.
