“An Evening With Anka” is an exclusive benefit concert marking the official grand opening of the Arcadia Unified School District’s new $20 million dollar state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center
With a career that spans more than four decades, Paul Anka has cemented his position as one of the most prolific and beloved singer/songwriters of any generation. A testament to the importance and permanence inherent in the arts, Anka quickly gained iconic status with a long list of number one songs and hits including the ever-popular “My Way,” “Diana,”“(You’re) Having My Baby,” “You Are My Destiny” as well as “The Tonight Show Theme” to name a few.
Paul Anka was so impressed with the high caliber talent of Arcadia High School’s Performing Arts students that many will have the honor of sharing the stage with the music icon providing orchestral accompaniment along with his professional band. The exclusive Paul Anka opening night fundraiser/concert is presented by the Arcadia Unified School District and the Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, established to support the Performing Arts Center. Monies generated from ticket sales for the event are donations to Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation and will benefit the Performing Arts Center, art education and art programming for the community.
