Assemblymember Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge) has been recognized by two leading senior advocacy groups for his work on issues that impact older Californians.
The Congress of California Seniors, with a membership of several hundred thousand older Californians, issued its 2012 “Report Card” on legislative votes and noted Assemblymember Portantino scored 100 – top of the class on issues concerning seniors.
And, the Solheim Lutheran Home in Northeast Los Angeles named Assemblymember Portantino its “Advocate for Aging” at a dinner celebration held recently in Pasadena.
“What an honor to be recognized by the Solheim Lutheran Home for advocacy for our older Californians. This is a recognition that will make my mother proud,” said Portantino.
Assemblymember Portantino represents some 400-thousand residents of the 44th Assembly District stretching from Eagle Rock and Highland Park to Altadena, Arcadia, Duarte, La Cañada Flintridge, Monrovia, Pasadena, South Pasadena and Temple City.
