Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA) is still accepting applications for its Gifts and Grants program. The proceeds from the 2012 Pasadena Showcase House of Design have been allocated to award Gifts and Grants. Guidelines, instructions and the application for a gift or grant are now available at their website at www.PasadenaShowcase.org. The deadline for submitting an application is October 12, 2012. Note that electronic submissions are not accepted.
Last May $600,000 was awarded to forty-four non-profit organizations and schools by PSHA from the proceeds from the 2011 Showcase House. Pasadena resident Joan Vienna who has been a member of Showcase for thirteen years will be chairing the Gifts and Grants Committee. President Kathryn Hofgaarden recently congratulated the members of Showcase for their diligence and old-fashioned hard work. Under the leadership of the 2012 Benefit Chair, Donna Gotch, the 2012 Showcase House was very successful and has enabled the organization to continue its legacy of funding music programs throughout the community. “It is very humbling to be a part of the grant selection process”, Ms. Hofgaarden remarked, “while we are proud of what we have accomplished, we always endeavor to do better. We understand that these programs are enriching for everyone, but for some it is life changing.”
