Pasadena Museum of History is pleased to extend the offer of free admission to active duty personnel and their families through the entire run of the two popular new exhibitions Pacific Electric Railway, Then & Now and What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been: 35 Years of the Doo Dah Parade. The exhibitions are on view 12:00 to 5:00 pm Wednesdays through Sundays through January 13, 2013. For further details about the exhibits, please visit www.pasadenahistory.org or call 626.577.1660.
This summer PMH once again joined the more than 1,500 museums across the nation offering free admission to active duty military personnel as part of the 2012 Blue Star Museums program, which ran from Memorial Day (May 28) through Labor Day (September 3) as a means of showing our appreciation for those who are serving this nation.
Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa to offer free admission to families with a member serving during this time of combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, especially focusing on the approximately 1 million children who have had at least one parent deployed. For further information, please visit www.arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
