YWCA Honors Dr. Mariana Robles-Dalany

The YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley will conclude its 2012 YWCA Honors Series by honoring Dr. Mariana Robles-Dalany, Assistant Professor of Education and Director of Liberal Studies at California Lutheran University. Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 23rd, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the YWCA facility located at 1200 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103. Come and share the evening with the YWCA and listen to Mariana speak of her personal struggles and accomplishments that have made her the successful educator she is today.
Mariana Robles-Dalany holds a Ph.D in Urban Educational Leadership from Claremont Graduate University. She has served as Lower School Director of Polytechnic School in Pasadena, and also held two elementary principalships in the Pasadena Unified School District. Currently, she serves as the Board President of El Centro de Accion, a local non-profit that provides basic social services for the growing Spanish-speaking population of the Pasadena community.
As an accomplished singer, Mariana engages in creative scholarship by directing and performing lecture-recitals exemplifying integrative teaching and learning. She speaks on various topics, including: human development, school readiness, Latino students and success, and much more.
