Arcadia Partners in Rotary, an auxiliary organization affiliated with the Arcadia Rotary Club that supports and adds to the service of their Rotarian spouses or partners, announced $3,000 in donations and scholarships to benefit the community during the organization’s annual installation luncheon held earlier this month at Monrovia’s Cafe Mundial.
Haven House, which serves families in need, received a $1,000 donation. The Arcadia Parks and Recreation Camper Scholarship program received $1,000 which will benefit two Arcadia students. Arroyo Pacific Academy students, Maggie Deagon, who will be attending USC, and Max Daniel Johnson, who will attend UC Berkley, each received a $500 scholarship.
“I want to thank you for partnering in the success of the Arcadia Rotary Club this past year,” said Eric Barter, Arcadia Rotary Club president. “Your contributions are much appreciated and greatly benefit the community.”
Following the presentation, the organization installed its board for the 2012-2013 year. They are President Paula Real, Aide to the President Kathy Swensson, Vice President Ana Ojeda, Treasurer Carol Stromsoe, Recording Secretary Barbara Barnes, Corresponding Secretary Ceci Miles, Ongoing Projects Patsy Harbicht and Joanne McCallum, Past President Julie Miller, Parliamentarian Gail Jensen and Publicity Denice Masterson.
